![]() In a small section of the frigid Northern Hemisphere, there is rumored to exist a group of mythical creatures called the lykos. They are wolves, primarily, but are cursed with a curious ability: they can assume the disguise and form of humans. The lykos are believed to be servants of the devil. The legend goes that these wolf-people are mischievous and crafty, engaging in poltergeist-like activity and stealing from or generally preying upon those unfortunate enough to live in towns on the border of the lykos' territory. Over the years, humans have been led to believe that lykos are just myths -- creatures of an old legend that are no less imaginary than ghosts or spirits. But there are those that still cling to the folk stories and believe these creatures to exist, and there are even some radicals bent on destroying these supposed demons of the devil.
It is on these terms we set our stage, and invite you to take part in a legendary conflict: one of tensions and uncertainty, between the lykos and the humans that fear them. It is a struggle without end, between the hunters and the hunted, the leaders and the leaderless. |
