Joining Crosswind
1. Please read the Game Guide in its entirety before registering.
2. Fill out the form provided below and post it in the Pending Profiles board on the forum.
3. You may have up to three characters at any given time. If you would like to create an additional forum account for one of your other characters, go for it - but this is not a requirement. (Keep in mind you can only have a maximum of two accounts at any given time.) DO NOT create a third character unless you've been around for a while, please.
4. Your account name should match the (first) name of one of your characters.
5. If you're not quite sure what sort of character to create (human, lykos, male or female) then check the Character Index to see what sorts of characters already exist on Crosswind, and base your decision on that information.
6. If you wish, you may combine the Appearance, Personality, and History paragraphs in the form below into one chunk of prose. You may display the information in your profile in whatever way you choose, but please keep the first seven fields intact. The majority of your profile should be in prose form.
7. The idea is to summarize. Be complete, but save the endless paragraphs for your posts!

Note: because of a spam issue, your account must be manually approved by an administrator before you can post. Please, if you would, drop us a note in the Cbox at the bottom of the forum (with your character name) to let us know you're waiting for approval. Thanks!

Profile Template
Fill the following form out at your leisure. When you have finished, post a new topic in the Pending board (titled with the name of your character,) and a member of the staff will review it.

   Your Name:
   Age: (Invisionboard requires that all members be of or over the age of 13.)
   Email: (or secondary method of contact. this is entirely optional.)

   Name: (it is suggested that lykos have only a first name, but middle and/or last names are fine as well.)
   Gender:
   Race: (Human or Lykos. "Hybrid" characters are to remain a rarity.)
   Age: (Age that your character appears when in human form.)

   Appearance: (If your character is a lykos, you must include descriptions of your character's wolf and human forms.)
   Personality: (One or two paragraphs)
   History: (It is not necessary to provide every detail; only mention something if it is important.)

Once your profile is validated, you are permitted to return to it and make changes. If you intend to make any drastic amendments, however, please run it by the staff first or submit a new profile.

Other Information
As a result of a bit of clever coding, you have the option of posting your character's data on your member profile. This can be done through the "My Controls" link when you log in, and is there so you (and those you roleplay with) can have easy access to your character's information. Most of these fields are html-enabled.

Also, There are several different board skins and color schemes to choose from, should you get sick of the default! The layout menu can be reached via My Controls > Change Layout Skin in the righthand column.
